Pokémon Sealed-Product Care FAQ

Practical care guidance for Pokémon sealed-product buyers. These are general care suggestions, not Pokémon’s official manufacturing, packaging or storage standards, and they do not guarantee preservation, authenticity, card grades or future value.

Where should I store sealed products?

Choose a clean, dry indoor space with stable conditions, away from direct sunlight, heaters, air vents and sources of water. Avoid damp basements, attics, garages and vehicles where conditions can fluctuate. Keep products off the floor and away from exterior walls where moisture may collect. A supportive shelf or appropriately sized protective case can help reduce accidental knocks; do not force a box into a tight case.

How should I manage humidity and moisture?

Avoid persistent dampness and rapid temperature changes. A room hygrometer can help you spot changes; this FAQ does not prescribe a Pokémon-approved humidity or temperature target. Shrink-wrap is not a waterproof barrier, and a protective case is not necessarily airtight. Only put dry products into dry containers. If using silica gel, follow its instructions, keep packets separate from the product, and check or replace them as directed. Desiccant is not a substitute for fixing a damp storage area. Allow cold deliveries to reach room conditions before moving them into storage, and watch for condensation.

Is upright or flat storage better?

Neither orientation is universally best. Use the product’s shape and a stable, fully supported position as your guide. Upright storage can avoid weight on a broad face, but needs support so boxes cannot tip. Flat storage can be stable, but avoid tall or heavy stacks that put pressure on lower boxes, corners or wrap. Keep heavier items on separate shelves where possible. Do not balance items on narrow edges or assume retail packaging is load-bearing.

How can I handle shrink-wrap safely?

Use clean, dry hands and support the box from underneath. Do not lift by the wrap, pick at seams, stretch loose areas or slide boxes across rough surfaces. Keep blades, tape, adhesives, solvents and heat away from the retail wrap. When opening a shipping carton, cut shallowly and away from the product. Do not re-shrink, heat-tighten or repair wrap to make it appear factory sealed. Small tears or scuffs should be documented rather than concealed.

What can MiNi Collects verify about condition and factory seals?

MiNi Collects’ sealed-products page describes sourcing from trusted distributors and inspection of items. These are seller sourcing and inspection processes, not Pokémon certification or an official Pokémon seal-authentication standard. An exterior inspection can assess visible packaging condition, such as tears, scuffs, dents and accessible seal areas. It cannot establish the condition or completeness of concealed contents without opening the product, guarantee that tampering has never occurred, or promise mint packaging or a particular card grade.

Wrap appearance or a single seam detail should not be treated as conclusive proof of authenticity or tampering. If a seal or package concerns you, preserve its condition and ask MiNi Collects for a review rather than opening or attempting to repair it. This FAQ does not promise that every item receives photography, testing or third-party authentication.

What should I do when my order arrives?

Read the refund policy before opening your shipping carton so you can follow its current reporting and unboxing-evidence requirements. If something appears wrong, document the shipping carton and retail packaging, keep the materials, and contact returns@minicollects.com promptly. Avoid opening the retail shrink-wrap or security seal while seeking guidance. This FAQ does not change return eligibility, reporting deadlines or evidence requirements, and contacting us does not promise a refund or replacement.
